Welcome to my site!
I write books for all ages, for young children to teenage and adults. I have also written a book on writing - Writing for Children - for both aspiring and newly published authors.
While I spend quite a lot of time visiting libraries, schools and festivals talking about my books and running creative writing workshops, I do manage to find time to write, too!

An Awfully Big Blog Adventure
New children’s dept! Milngavie Bookshop
On 11th December 2008 I will be in the brand new children’s department in Milngavie bookshop. I will be speaking to an invited class from Milngavie Primary School in the afternoon and from 2.45pm onwards I will be signing books. So why not come along and say hello.

SEE changes to TIME Of EVENTS!
Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th November, I will be there with Hamish and friends telling stories from 1 -2pm on Saturday and 1.45-2.45pm on Sunday. Come and meet me and say hello to Hamish, Jeannie, Angus and Rupert!. There will be time at the end of the event to come along and chat to me and get your own signed copy of the Hamish McHaggis books.
There will be something for everyone with storytelling sessions all day in the big marquee from 11am — 4pm approx in Princes Street Gardens West -with Joan Lingard and Aileen Paterson in the morning with myself and Lari Don in the afternoon .
NOVEMBER is here already and the weather has turned seasonally cold and bright!
