I write books for all ages, for young children to teenage and adults. I have also written a book on writing - Writing for Children - for both aspiring and newly published authors.
While I spend quite a lot of time visiting libraries, schools and festivals talking about my books and running creative writing workshops, I do manage to find time to write, too!

Working with the Book Council of New Zealand
I visited 9 different schools in North Island, New Zealand.
Over the ne
xt week or two I will be posting some photos and telling you about the schools I visited. I had an amazing time, met some great people and worked with enthusiastic classes in both primary and high schools.
On the way home I stopped in Sydney where I was speaking to some of the writers who are members of SCBWI Australia, organised by the energetic and enthusiastic Suzanne Gervay, a fellow writer.

Winner was announced at a ceremony on Friday 25th February and Spider was a runner up.
